Sufler gives you live subtitles of your calls in English or your own language, even when colleagues switch into Slovenian, German, Albanian or any of 95 supported languages.

It sits in the menu bar and listens to the audio Microsoft Teams plays on your Mac (or any app, including Zoom, Google Meet and Slack), so it works in every call you join without a bot or a Teams Premium licence. About 1–3 seconds after each sentence, the translation appears in the menu bar and in a floating subtitle bar that stays on top of full-screen apps. Each voice is labelled Speaker A, B, C, and you can rename them.

All processing happens on your Mac: speech recognition with OpenAI Whisper on the GPU, translation with Google MADLAD-400 or Apple's built-in translation, and on-device speaker identification. No audio or text is uploaded, there's no account, and transcripts are only kept if you save them.

What's new in version 1.0.2

Better speaker labels: short remarks like “Hello.” no longer show up as a new speaker. If sufler can’t tell who said one, it takes the label of the line around it or shows none.
Fewer wrong language tags on short lines: when it’s unsure, sufler now leans towards the languages already spoken in the call (for example Czech instead of Polish). “New call: clear and forget speakers” starts this afresh too.
